Meet: Baby Zara

sleep success stories Apr 08, 2024

Meet: Baby Zara

Family members: Mom (Yvonne) and Dad (Daniel)

When we started working together: 8 months old

Background story:

  • Zara was sleeping relatively well at night but was waking up very early in the morning (5 am!) Yvonne initially contacted me because although things were good, she knew that it could be better!

Initial Sleep Issue:

  • Early rising

Yvonne’s goal:

  • For Zara to wake up later in the morning
  • To be able to ensure that Zara is on track with her sleep needs and development

Success story & outcome:

  •  No more 4-5 am wake-ups! Zara has been waking up at normal wake-up time (6.30-7 am).
  • On top of that, we managed a 3 to 2 nap transition, and Zara is now sleeping 2 long naps during the day.

What Yvonne has to say:

Working with Ruth has met and exceeded my expectations knowing that she was there to support us throughout was fantastic. Ruth went above and beyond and she regularly checked in with us, and she was so easy to work with too!

The information and content provided by Ruth were excellent. She explained why certain things/timings are planned that way or the science behind it. The sleep plan provided was customized to Zara and our unique situation.

I am most looking forward to the future because Knowing that my daughter wakes up happy because she is sleeping through the night!

Describe working with Ruth in one sentence!

Ruth made it better!!

What encouragement or words of wisdom can you give to a parent who can relate to your story?

When your child is sleeping long stretches but you know it can be better (in my case not starting the day at 5 am!), don’t just accept that there’s nothing to improve. Seek professional help to make it even better!

Summary:

Early rising is a very common sleep challenge that parents deal with. Unfortunately, if this continues on, your child will gradually become more overtired, which can then affect their daily mood and routine. Yvonne demonstrated that despite being grateful that her daughter sleeps relatively well, she is not willing to settle for just okay. She wanted the best for her daughter and is now reaping the benefits of an even happier baby and great sleep for the whole family!
