Background story:
Aimee and I started working together when she was still pregnant with Aiden and continued the support after he was born. She also has a 3-year-old boy, Jethro, and struggled with his sleep for the first 2 years of his life, but is now determined to make sleep better for the whole family the second time around.
Initial Sleep Issue: None (still pregnant), had previous experience with sleep deprivation with Jethro.
Aimee’s goal: To better prepare for the baby and his sleep needs through comprehensive baby sleep education from sleep consultants, and support in the early days of the newborn stage as to how to settle the baby and ensure the baby is sleeping well.
Success story & outcome:
Working with Ruth on Aiden’s overall sleep was a great experience. She was there since day dot (actually even before Aiden was born!). She has great knowledge and experience on baby sleep and always has great sleep solutions under her fingertips whenever she is presented with a sleep issue/question/concern. To us, Ruth is like a sleep whisperer.
Initially, I was nervous about Aiden’s sleep routine and all but after going through with Ruth, I received great reassurance and comfort that he would sleep well or at least better than his older brother, which he did! Five awesome stars for Ruth!
Summary:
Despite having a challenging experience with her firstborn, there is always a second chance and a fresh start! It is possible to have a pleasant experience with sleep the next time around (with future children). I really commended Aimee for taking the necessary steps to be proactive and bring change to her early motherhood experience with Aiden, and in return benefited not just herself and Aiden, but also his big brother Jethro, and of course the family as a whole!
